ANSA
Ansa redefines home coffee roasting with a focus on precision, ritual, and user experience. Designed for small-batch, elite roasting it combines advanced wave-based technology with carefully considered, human-centered details.
I played a central role in designing, engineering, and planning of this small series of one of a kind machines.
The design balances sleek modernity with functionality, creating an intuitive and elegant interface that complements its advanced inner workings.
Additionally, I focused on crafting the interaction experience through two unique spoons:
The insertion spoon, inspired by traditional wooden roasting tools, brings a tactile warmth to the process of inserting green beans. Though the device is high-tech, this choice connects the user to the craft's heritage, creating a ritualistic moment before roasting begins.
The exit spoon, crafted from aluminum, addresses the heat of freshly roasted beans. Its generous size accommodates multiple roast cycles while maintaining Ansa’s dedication to precision and quality.
By integrating modern innovation with traditional craft, Ansa transforms coffee roasting into a sensory experience—seamlessly merging form, function, and a love for coffee.
